our process

We believe we offer our clients one of the most thorough, detailed and professional weighing consultation on the market.

We have no time limit with our appointments and often spend 3+ hours with our clients ensuring that no stone is left unturned in making sure that not only their compliance numbers are covered off but also their balance, safety and setup is as good as it can be.

We provide the information to ensure our clients understand the key compliance criteria of their setup and why they are important.  We ensure you are aware of the weighing process before we commence to ensure you can get the most out of your session with us.  We also take the time to assess how loading and distribution can impact your individual setup as well as the impact of Full vs Empty water tanks.  We do all this while your setup is on the scales, so the changes made can be assessed.  We assess and then advise of potential options or changes that could be made in situations where weights are over compliance limits.

our story

Before setting off to travel, we took what we thought was the responsible action of weighing our setup and everything looked OK.  In early 2023 we met Cam from The Travelling Weigh who offered to weigh us and allow us to share the process on our YouTube channel.  When we weighed again with Cam, we were shocked to find that we were significantly over our weight tolerances.  While we definitely accumulated things over time, it would not have contributed to the numbers we observed.  Learning the process with a professional like Cam from the travelling weigh, I can now look back in hindsight and see that there were some glaring issues with the way in which we were weighed in the first place.  I’m not going to name and shame or go into the details of what went wrong the first time, though I am confident knowing what we know now, that mistakes were made, and we were not given correct weight or advice on our initial weighing.

It was this realisation that prompted us to start up “Svedos weigh”, as a way to right those wrongs and to enable us to provide the correct advise to our fellow travellers.  We teamed up with Cam from the travelling weigh and trained ourselves in their processes to ensure that we ourselves are able to provide industry leading service to our customers.  As a travelling family ourselves we know how important it is to get caravan weights right, but also how hard it can be to find a reputable service provider to help.  We aim to solve that problem.
